Privacy Policy

This page explains, in plain terms, what information Direct Owners collects and how it's used. It is conceptual placeholder wording for the Beta and requires professional legal review before commercial launch.

Accounts

We collect the email address (and, where provided, phone number) used to create and sign in to a Direct Owners account, along with a preferred language.

Property and demand information

Owners provide property details; buyers and renters provide requirement details. Some fields (such as private minimum price, private maximum budget, exact unit reference, and owner/seeker country) are kept private and are never shown to other users.

Verification

Where an owner chooses to verify their identity or ownership, supporting documents are stored in a private, access-controlled location and are reviewed only by permitted administrators.

Analytics

We record product usage events (such as page views and match interactions) to understand how the platform is used and to improve it. Analytics data is not sold to third parties.

Matching

Property and demand information is compared automatically to compute match scores and reasons. This comparison happens within Direct Owners' own systems.

Communications

We may send account, match, and enquiry-related emails. Marketing communications, where introduced, will include a way to opt out.

Security

Access to private information is restricted using role- and row-level access controls, and sensitive documents are held in a separate, permission-gated storage location.

Retention

We keep account and marketplace data for as long as an account is active, and for a reasonable period after deletion is requested, to the extent needed for legitimate operational or legal reasons.

Your rights

Users may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal data by contacting us or using in-product account deletion where available.

Cookies and processors

Direct Owners uses essential cookies for sign-in and session management. Where third-party processors (such as email or hosting providers) are used, they process data only as needed to provide their service.

International data considerations

Direct Owners serves owners and seekers both inside and outside Malaysia. Data may be processed on infrastructure located outside the user's home country.
